A Welfare Wing Of Telangana State Police
Latest News
The Police Welfare was initially built-up by voluntary contributions from the Police Personnel/Ministerial staff (PCs to Inspectors & Class-IV to Superintendents). A full-fledged Welfare Division at TS Police Head Quarters, under the direct control of Inspector General of Police, handles and co-ordinates various welfare activities and financial assistance by way of loans/grants carried out by TS Welfare Society, for which the DGP is President.
Bhadratha had established in the year 1997 and became functional from 01-03-1997. The main aim of starting this benevolent scheme is to provide social security to all the police personnel and their families.
Policemen and officers work day and night. Due to professional hazards, they get into serious health problems. Sometimes they have to undergo major operations. Since the medical expenses for the heart problems and kidney problems have gone up every police and officers are not in a position to clear the above bills. Naturally, they are put to mental stress when they get into such serious health problems. The reimbursement facility up to a limit of Rs.50,000/- extended by the Government also is not able to meet this demand. Moreover, this facility is available when the treatment/operation takes place only in Government hospitals. Realizing all these difficulties a new scheme called “AROGYA BHADRATHA” is designed and introduced in the year 1999.
